Mono Luxe Villas – Terms & Conditions

1. General Terms


By confirming a reservation at Mono Luxe Villas (the “Property”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms form a binding agreement between the guest (“Guest,” “You”) and Mono Luxe Villas (“We,” “Us,” “Our”). All reservations, occupancy, payments, and services are subject to these Terms & Conditions. This agreement is governed by the laws of Costa Rica.


2. Reservations & Payments


  • A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
  • The balance is due prior to or upon arrival, as specified in your booking confirmation.
  • We accept credit cards only (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). No cash, bank transfers, or checks are accepted.
  • All Guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID and the credit card used for the booking at check-in.
  • Resort Fees: A resort fee of $10 per day per guest applies to all reservations and is included in your reservation total.


3. Cancellations & Modifications

  • Reservations may be canceled free of charge up to 30 days prior to arrival.
  • Cancellations made between 7 and 30 days prior to arrival will be charged a penalty equal to the first night’s stay.
  • Cancellations made within 6 days of arrival will be charged 100% of the total reservation value.
  • No-shows and early departures are charged at 100% of the reservation value.
  • Modifications are subject to availability and may result in rate differences. Please note that reservations made via third-party websites (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia) must be canceled or modified directly through those platforms.


4. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in time: 4:00 PM
  • Check-out time: 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in / Late check-out: May be offered during non-peak periods with prior approval. Additional fees apply. Availability cannot be guaranteed during high occupancy.


5. Occupancy & Guest Policy

  • Maximum occupancy is determined by the villa type reserved.
  • The primary guest must be at least 18 years of age to check in.
  • Children count toward total occupancy.
  • Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Hosting events, parties, or unregistered visitors is strictly prohibited.
  • Pets are not permitted.


6. Security Deposit & Damages

  • A credit card hold of USD $250 per villa is required at check-in.
  • Guests are responsible for any damages, missing items, excessive cleaning, or violations of house rules.
  • A minimum fee of $500 will be charged for smoking inside villas. Additional charges may apply for damages or extra cleaning.
  • As pets are not permitted, a penalty fee of $500 will be charged for any unauthorized pets found on the property to cover deep cleaning and allergen removal.
  • The deposit hold will be released after departure if no damages are found.


7. Liability

  • Mono Luxe Villas is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Safekeeping of valuables is the guest’s responsibility.
  • Guests assume all risks of injury or accident while on the property, including use of facilities.
  • The Property is not liable for interruptions in utilities, internet, or services beyond our control (e.g., weather, government actions, natural disasters).


8. Property Rules

  • Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • Illegal activity, disorderly conduct, or violation of Costa Rican law will result in immediate eviction without refund.
  • Villas are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
  • Guests may not unlock or open connecting doors (lock-off units) to other units unless the entire villa configuration has been reserved. Configuration changes must be managed by staff.


9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising under this agreement will be resolved in Costa Rican courts.
